After moving to Utah County from Southern California for school, Dr. Marion’s passion for Anatomy and Physiology grew and lead him into a career in medicine. After following a local plastic surgeon he knew his career path would lead him to plastic surgery. Training and work allowed him and his family to travel to the British West Indies and across America before settling in Utah. Thus, allowing them to be close to family, aspects of life they value and the beautiful outdoors.
Dr. Michael Marion and his staff enjoy serving their patients, and now are also committed to serving students. They believe students should be able to pursue any educational goals they have without the stressful financial burdens. That is why Dr. Marion is proud to offer the “Health and Wellness Scholarship Award” for students pursuing their educational aspirations.
This $500 annual scholarship will help students reach their aspirations as well as ease the burden of the costs of higher education. Dr. Mike Marion proudly invites all eligible students to apply by writing an essay about how plastic surgery can positively affect self-esteem, ways to accentuate different body shapes and draw attention to your favorite features or any similar topic.
How to Apply
Eligible students will need to do the following:
- Write a 300-500 word essay about how self-esteem can improve through plastic surgery, ways to accentuate and bring attention to your favorite physical feature, ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle while in college, or any closely related topic.

One scholarship per year will be awarded. All entries must be submitted by midnight on July 31 and the scholarship recipient will be announced around fall semester each year.
Who Can Apply
Any current student of an accredited U.S. college or university.
Selection Process and Notification
The Health and Wellness Scholarship Committee will review all applicants and essays and will declare one winner during the course of each year. Once the winner has been determined, the committee will inform him or her by email. The full award amount will be sent directly to the financial aid office of the winning candidate’s institution.
